Whats it worth???

I have a 1971 GMC 2 wheel drive pickup. Has a 350 engine, 350 tranny, power disc brakes on the front, drum brakes in the rear, power steering, NO AIR! It has 2 1/2 in pipes with full boars and turn downs for the exhaust. It has 307 gears. The rockers and cab corners are rusty as well as the bottom of the right front fender.
Thanks for taking the time to look and answer this thread!

welcome to the board!

price really depends on location. personaly i would be willing to part with 1000-1500 for it. i would say more but the frame would likely need to be straightened from that fender bender.

where's the truck located? i'm currently looking for one

it may not be bent but it could be skued off of square. it's really a minor issue and easy enough to fix if it needs it but that's the first thing that came to mind when i looked at it. other than the fender bender it's a really and i do mean really nice truck. i wish it was closer to chicago.

Ever heard of freezing fog? I was headed to the school to drop our boys off... pulled out of our drive way ... started acrossed the bridge and the a$$ end started coming around on me and when I tried to correct it it just started spinning and didnt stop till the other end of the bridge when we hit the guard rail. It really sucks cuz it was a "really" nice truck.

Funny thing skii, both you and Sassy need the same front fender. The truck should be worth the 1000 you have on the window with no problem.

Sassy and Skii. A fella down in Austin, Ark just let one go for about $1200. I believe it was about a '70 Chevy long bed, 6 cyl, no power acc, straight body, usuall rust spots.
Your GMC is a nicer equipped truck than that one and other than that fender looks real good. If the engine and tranny run good you ought to be able to get 12 to 1500 for it with that fender replaced. Less with it like it is.
Find another fender. Keep it.

Alright! Let's get to lookin for another fender for these folks. Can't let this truck go for something as small as a bent fender.
If you two scan these boards you will find a number of board members selling new and used parts for our trucks. I'm not sure just where you are but there are bound to be a few old trucks sitting around with parts to be had.
Anybody got some parts for these good folks?

John, I'm not familiar with the GMCs but are the fenders the same as the Chevys?

yeah the radiator support is bent and so is the inner fender ..... the main thing Im looking for is the fender .... Im sure hubby could straighten everything else.... Im sure he could straighten that fender to if he had the right equipment. We went and looked at a truck here ... guys said he wanted 25 bux a piece for the fenders .. but the whole bottom of the fender was gone .... so we decided against that one. I know in time I will find one ... its just having the funds and locating one at the same time ..LMAO

I KNOW I HAVE A LEFT INNER, & TOMORROW WHEN IT'S LIGHT OUT I SEE IF I HAVE AN EXTRA OUTER. IN THE MEAN TIME LOOK & SEE IF YOU NEED A RADIATOR SUPPORT ALSO. JOHN

Skii may be able to pull that bumper out most of the way then remove it and pull the lower part of the fender forward to straighten the core support and grill some. You can do a lot with a comealong and a tree. grin
