Guys and Gals

What year front end is on this truck. When I get back to the states I am going to buy a burban and want this front end. Front end sheet metal can be swapped correct? Is there some place I can research this or find out what is involved in doing this. I am new to the 67-72 arena. Thanks for all the help

nice pic, I am pretty sure that is a 67 (no marker lights) you can swap this clip on 68-72 trucks no problem. I could kick my self now I gave one complete front clip away a few years ago because I was unaware that they could be swapped and look so good.

That would be a 67 front end, due to the lack of side marker lights. A 68 would be identical to that, but 68's do have marker lights.

I first fell in love with the '72's look, but the more I see the 67/68's the more I like'em. Don't you have to switch the core support if though?

It looks like a modified 67 hood to me, the rise looks like it has been cut down a bit. what do the rest of you guys think?

Good point Purs, didn't even think of that, the core supports are different too. And I dunno about that hood being modified...can't really tell.

Keep the information coming guys I really appreciate it. How much do front ends cost (new or used)? Does anyone have one? How long does a front end swap take?

I really think it is a beautiful truck - it does look custom to me judging by all the trucks I have seen on the web.

That truck was on the cover of the April 02 Edition of Custom Classic Trucks. It is a 68 with filled side marker lights. It is owned by the Navarro brothers of Westminster California.
I don't wan't to confuse. The "no side marker look" is only on the 67. 68's had side marker lights (these guys just filled theirs).
It does look sweet thought!!

I think someone on this board has a 71-72 with a 67 or 68 grille in it? I may be wrong but I think I saw it in someones signature?

After reading this thread I would like to see a pic.

The Full View back glass is a option in 67. Standard in 68. I would say that it is a 68 with the markers filled. The small back glass was a option in 68. Both years came out with letters across the hood.
