Inline 6 guys, I need help, step inside so we can talk
I need a picture of an inline 6 in a 72 model truck.
I need a picture showing how the 72 model accelerator cable hooked up to the 6 cylinder engine. My 292 engine originally came out of a 68 truck so it used a rod type of linkage. Now I need to figure out how to interface it to my cable type of acelerator in the 72 truck body I'm using. I'd sure appreciate any help here, Kevin

Thanks for the pictures GM.
It looks like I have parts to round up now. If you don't mind, I may "steal" your pictures to put in a wanted ad looking for the little brackets that I need.

If you can't find them i think i still have a cable setup here, i know i have the brackets but not sure where the cable is because it was still hooked to the pedal.

Mothertrucker, would my V8 cable be close enough to the right length to work?

Tex, I went thru that situation, but I'm running a 4Bbl Holley on an Offy intake. L6 -292 -- '68 C/10 originally had a bellcrank -radius arm configuration. That was unsat, and would not get 1/2 WOT, besides being failure prone. I converted to a '72 accelerator pedal and linkage going to a Lokar-type cable from the fire wall to the carb. The upper arm of the stock gas pedal bail had to be bent around to match the firewall hole I used. Also needed a Jeg's throttle bracket w/return springs-- and had to cut 1-1/2" off the end to avoid the valve cover. But it works now and my bad orange machine is back on the road!
[Hey, where's the Bowtie smilie?]

at the current price you might want to buy this just for the parts you need. Assuming that they are there.
