Coolest Wheels for 1970 CST
I am in the process of restoring my Black 1970 CST which I purchased when I was 18 yrs old (now 35). It will have a sleeper 383 (appears original on outside), turbo 400, and 3.40 posi (formerly 3.07). The truck will be black as original, all the original chrome trim, with the original black interior w/buckets. I am having a hard time finding some wheels that would look good on my truck. Does anyone have some pictures of similar trucks with some nice looking aftermarket wheels? I am leaning towards aluminum for less weight, but steel would be fine. Not sure I am a fan of the ralley wheels for this truck. If they were orginal, I would consider it, but they are not. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks Jason |

I had two trains of thought when i decided to build one of these truck... i was going to go with a 71 or 72 and do it in black with slots or buy a 67/68 and do a full custom. I ended up going with the 67 but i love the looks of some slots on a black truck.

I like aluminum slots, American racing torque thrusts or torque thrust 2's, or Weld Draglites. Just my $0.02

They look like they are off about a 1978 model or somewhere in that region.

I'm a fan of matching the number of spokes or slots to the number of lug nuts. I like the radial symmetry.

Cool Ride & question on Factory SUV Wheels
Your right that is a cool CST. I like your wheels the best so far. How much did they cost. Are they 15" ?
Does anyone know is factory aluminum off a new Chev SUV will fit on a five bolt truck. |

SS 454 Rims Cool, Any idea on Chev SUV Rims
I like those rims. I bet they are hard to find. I wonder if they still sell them at GM.
Any idea whether 15" rims from a newer Chev SUV will fit our trucks? Mine has been converted to 5 bolt |

Since yours is 5-lug you have alot of options. TT'2 and Crager SS are my favorites.
