A/C pics (carried from old board)
This new board is freakin sweet! Heres my painted firewall after I attacked it with a saber saw. I had a firewall cut out of an Air cab that I used to make a pattern. I cut about a 1/4th inch inside the line so i'd have metal to fold inside like the factory did. You can see I left my old heater hole in it. I figure it shouldn't hurt it to have the extra open space, plus i'm not welding on my new paint. To make my old A/C boxes look new I scrubbed them with soap and water, then cleaned it with rubbing compound. I then washed them again and finally misted a small amount of clear over the boxes to make them have just a little gloss. Thjey look a little weathered in the pic, but I think thats just the flash. Here is my new "ACDelco" evaporator core. Harrison Air conditioning was bought out by Delphia automitive. The sticker on my new one has Delphia automotive, then under that says something about hairrison air conditioning division, or close to that. I got it for $185 bucks. My friend with the parts store was able to track it down for me. You can seethe new one is missing the tabs at the bottom. Also, the small tube that comes from the bottom is bent way different, but I think I can fix that. I would have thought this Delco piece would have been a perfect fit..... guess not. Here's a pic of my inside box. I've got it all apart for cleaning and wiring.
