I finally set the 427 in the truck (pics)
Here is a pic of my 427 in my 63. The machine shop said it should make around 620 horsepower and 590 pounds of torque.

The time stamp on the pic is about 3 years off. I just put it down in there yesterday.

It has a built th400 behind it with a 3500 stall. Maybe in a few weeks ai will have it all bolted together. Sadly the aluminum driveshaft I had behind my 327/th350 setup is about 3 inches too short now.

Awesome! Killer look. Can you say "hood lock?"
How has the compromise between firewall and fan clearance gone?

I have about half an inch between the valve cover and the firewall, and bout an inch between the fan and radiator. I had to take out the heater to get it to fit though.

The only thing wrong with this picture is it is not in my truck. Let us know how it runs as soon as you get on the road.

there should be a oil galley plug on the drivers side of the block above the oil filter.
by the way what kind of intake is that...that is a seriously tall intake - is it custom made? dual or single plane? i see markings/words on it but can't read them

There are two plugs above the oil filter, do I use the bigger or smaller one?
The intake is a massaged single plane edelbrock, It has the dominator flange, as soon as I can afford the dominator I can chunk the adapter
