Full Length Exhaust Question
Since I don't have my truck here to look at how much harder, if at all, would it be to run full length exhaust (over the rear end) and have it turn out behind the rear wheels as opposed to having it run straight out the back and under the rear bumper?
With it turned out in front of the wheels it's just too loud in the cab for me. I have a '70 Chevy shortbed step side. Thanks

I am running an "X" exhaust sys into proflow mufflers then over the axle and straight out the back. You should have lots of room to put them where your thinking unless your truck is slammed or really low. I did consider the way your thinking, but I'm very happy how it looks staight out. My brand new digital camera is getting fixed sorry no pics.

It's still stock height, but I haven't decided if I'm going to lower it or not. If I do it won't be very much because I have a very bad motorcycle habit (or more like I'm a motorcyclist with a truck habit) so I can't/won't sacrifice too much in the way of suspension travel.

LOL! I know what you mean, I've been building my bike for 20 years now and it still doesnt run..... very hard habit to break. I don't think I'm gonna lower my truck either (for the same reason), kinda like the way it sits as is.

96blazer; sorry my typo, they are called Flo-Pro mufflers. They are very simular to Magnaflows but are a not quite as loud (unless you get into the throttle). They are also non glasspacked which I like as well. Here is a link (this is the shop that did my exhaust, in BC Canada) http://www.precisionkelowna.com/exhaust-flopro.html

Cool. Thanks Shortfleet. I'll look into that. Cool web-site too.
