What do you think is best color?

My neighbor is getting his truck ready for paint soon and we have been debating on the best color choice. What do you think is the best choice?

Depends on the model, but I am partial to PURE White or the medium blue shades.

New car productions say that Silver is #1 followed by Black and then White and then Red. I dont know that they are the "best" but they are the most popular.

I personally am a fan of fire engine red. I wasn't a fan until I bought my truck and I really think it looks bad ass now. I'm also a sucker for flat black. I saw a nice metallic royal blue one to, and I liked it.

I think it depends on the truck. A lwb looks better with solid colors, where as a swb you can get away with some wilder colors. And a suburban can be a rolling mural.

If you do a 2 tone, throw away the white, everybody uses white way too much in my opinion. Replace it with a bright metallic silver, unless silver will not work.

I like the medium blue metallic for these trucks.
If you like white for the 2 tone use it , the decision is up to the owner.

Black is beautiful....just not on your food! Jokes aside, black is sweet, but it takes a d@mn straight resto to really look right. I am partial to a teal green, or turquise.....any shade of blue is also sweet.....if you go pearl, do white....she will turn every color of the rainbow goin by crazyL

Red and white 2 tone

Orange and white 2 tone

I would only recommend black to someone who enjoys cleaning and detailing. Looks sharp yes, but ya gotta bust your buns on it.

For one that's easy to keep clean try '94 Toyota Cashmere Biege like mine.

I wil throw out something different: light metallic green. Like 1976 GM Medium Lime Metallic, but brighter. I have been wanting to see a truck painted like this for awhile.

I'd go with light metalic green and saddle interior. Coming in at a close second would be a red and white two tone with a red interior.

What truck is it?A 67-72 GM?I think they look best original color.I wouldn`t do a custom color unless it`s a customized truck. Is he replacing the interior? If not, what color is that?

HeavyD and Zonaman, That's right along the lines of what I've been thinking of. Oregon Ducks have this bright metallic green that I think would be great on one of our trucks along with bright white highlights. Color looks great in the sunlight but does dull down when it gets dark.

Do you know anyone that works at a body shop? I looked at a paint chip book (from PPG or someone like that...not just stock colors) a few years ago that had at least 5 different greens I liked. Maybe ask to look at one and see what grabs you.
