Spacer for 5 lug axle
Has anyone made a 1/2" spacer plate to fit between backing plate and axle flange?I put an 74+ axle in my 69 housing and they r 1/2' long on each side which came to the idea of the spacer plate.The axle bearing has plenty of surface to run on.ANY one thought of something like this or tried.This is going in my 69 short step

you can, just that no one else seems to want to, but it ouwl be easy tand then there fore wouldnt have to waste a good 64-69 axle just cuz its about 1" narrower than a 73-up one,.

ttt Well I made 2 of them at work today (shhh)and put it all together tonight and everything went together great.I am in process of frame off resto. 69 short step so can't road test yet.Will let you all know the outcome.
