79 scotsdale

where do all ya'll buy your accessories, bumpers and the such. i've found a 79 scotsdale at a local lot. it's lifted quite a bit, riding comfortably on 35s. it's a wood bed step side. the wood bed is in decent condition. Question- The floor pan has been replaced, however it wasn't done well. Could i have a local welder come "clean it up". The seam where it was put in is coming apart. you can see through to the ground if you look right. It seems to be patched in there and the bottom of the truck was sprayed with some foam insulator crud where the pan was put in. What are the "ups" and "downs" of this truck. it has a little surface rust, no big deal. and it does NOT have any cancer holes. my mechanic will be checking this truck out prior to purchase. the dealer doesn't have any information on the truck.

Thanks

Keith

Go to LMC trucks site and get their catalog for your year.

They carry plenty of parts and the exploded views are well worth it.

does this catalog have aftermarker "heavy duty" bumpers? Also... one more quick question about the truck. He said it's a "Big Block 350" i don't know anything about these engines. but that didn't sound right to me. Wouldn't a 350 be a small block? How can i tell by sight which engine it is. It's a transplanted engine. i know it's an 8 cyl.

Thanks
