I think this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer to it. Does anybody have any dimension of how much to shorten the frame on a leaf spring frame behind the rear perch to convert to a SWB? The center has already been done.

I have a leaf spring Chevy I cut 8 " off and I think I would start with 6" next time I would have like to have a bit more steel under therear cross sill. The frames are the same lenght coil or leaf. 8 " is what they say needs to be cut off. But 6 is playing it safe. You will need to drill a hole in the back of the frame for your rear cross sill to bolt into also.

Yep 12" from under the cab.
