Exclamation Check out my new webpage, installing a rear camaro sway bar

http://www.low69cst.freeservers.com/CamaroBar.htm

I just finished it about 5 minutes ago. I've been having a few problems with getting the pics. If one didn't load or looks like should be a pic there, right click and choose "show picture". Let me know what you guys think. I think this is by far the best rear sway bar set up ever put on our trucks.

You should go and dig up as many of those swaybars as you can from scrapyards and sell a kit. I would buy it! Looks cool. If you make me up a kit, ie: bar, ends, spacers, and brackets. I'd buy it.. if not too pricey of course. Just a thought of how to make a little extra cash.

Man, yall makin me feel special.

Well, if you wanted me to make up a kit, I could but most of it like the aluminum blocks, new bushings, i'd have to pay retail price on all that. I don't have a clue how much a junkyard would ask me for one of those bars and the brackets. I just happend to accidently end up with this camaro bar, and luckily had it when my other rear bar pissed me off and the rest is history. I could gather the prices of the stuff and give you a quote. The only major thing I could do would be make the spacers, clean up the parts and paint them. You'd still have to measure out and weld the axle brackets on, adjust the length of the endlink according to your truck's ride height and drill the holes in the frame. Let me know if you wanna get a price quote.

Get me a price quote if it's not too much trouble. I would be interested to see what it would cost. You could end up making some money on the deal. Just take the cost of the parts and add 5-10%. plus shipping. could be worth it for everyone involved. You make the extra parts and get the bars w/brackets and then just box it up and send it out. Could be fun. Just for $hits and giggles lets try out the price quote thing.

Thanks

jmanz69, I dont want to be an ass, but 5%-10% profit is hardly worth it to anybody, or any business. If the parts cost him $60 he would charge $63-$66??? I sure would not do it for that.

good point. My fault, I would charge more than that. I wasn't thinking. Been on vacation, brain still moving slow. should cahrge at least 30% or more. That's what my company makes on it's sales. But we sell to the big 3 too. It's up to him what he would want to make off it. It's his stuff, and he has to go through the trouble to make it up. depends on what he decides his time is worth also. Sorry for the brain fart.

I'm gonna get crackin on this pretty soon. 68 burb, i'm gonna get the price for those spacer's pretty quick, but I won't be able to make them until I get some more brackets, because I'm not beatting the ones on my truck off after i've got it all put together. I've been looking at prices for other sway bars. The one I use to have was 160 bucks and I'm throwing it in the trash. Some of the Hotchiss bars I looked were like $250. If I start selling these things theres alot I have to be ready to take on. People wanting their money back, people callin and emailin 24/7 cuz they can't figure out how to put it on, people not happy bout this or that. So i'll have alot of responsibilty to take on.
