PS pump and gearbox ?

I found a ps pump and gearbox, but , I don't know if they are from the same year model. From what year to what year will the pump and gearbox work together? I know somewear around 80' the fittings or threads went to metric. Any info. would be helpful.

The secret is in the fitings on the lines. The early style is flare type and the later style is o-ring type.

You'll need a pump and brackets to fit whatever style of front engine brackets you're using, whether short or long water pump style.

The 1 inch fitting screws out of the back of the pump so you can convert a pump to which ever one you need, flare or o-ring, just by swapping the fittings around.

Thanks for the help. I went and looked at them, he has the gearbox but not the pump. He has two gearboxes, one from and 81 and one form 82. I don't know if there is any difference in the two, I can get either for about $35. I'll probably take one and find a pump later.

Thanks again.
