How much will it go for?

Going to local auction Saturday morning. Among the items listed are Flowmaster 40's, big block headers, Edelbrock carb, Muncie 4spd w/new flywheel & scattershield, 454 bored 60 over w/Crane cam, engine stands, and some other GM parts. Also a like new Kwik Lift portable car lift. May have to dip into the savings account if the prices are right. Am going to see if I can get some more info on the engine and tranny.

The home owner and his wife are getting divorced and he is selling off a bunch of stuff; guns tools, 2 cars, etc. There's a 64 Ford Falcon Futura body in this auction that I think the 454 was going in.

You're right about that. I've seen stuff go for more than I could buy it new. Some people go crazy at auctions. I'm just trying to figure out what the 454 is worth.

TNblazer is right--why are all the auctions and flea markets in the south just plain junk? and I mean JUNK! Worn out women's dresses, kids clothes, etc is all that is ever sold in these here in the south. Whenever I want to go to a decent sale, I go to In., Ohio or Pa. where there's all kind of good automotive and tool stuff. I moved to the south 32 years ago and I still don't understand it.
