I'm thinking in the neighborhood of 5 mil after taxes. That way i have couple mil for a house another mil for toys (cars trucks) and i'd invest the other 2 mil so i could make it grow. ahh the dream.....

one meeelion dollars. lol.

I'd say that would be enough, but I hate my job and would quit for $100,000 and get another job, but job skill wise would be hard to do.....wait, what was the question? lol

I like the 5mil post-tax figure. Cause the house has gotta have a four-car garage with at least 1 four-point hydrualic lift. Then there's money for frame-off restorations, the hot tub, wide-screen plasma tv, beer taps in the garage, by the hot tub, by the Barco-Lounger in front of the plasma tv...

Invest the remainder? What remainder?

Thinking something like a billion dollars would keep me from working again at all. I am a banker and figured it up. But would take a 100k and find another job, maybe 50, or if someone will give me another job, FREE!!!!! Get me outa here please. Was that too much?

The real question is how much would it take to NOT quit my job! (I'm leaving for the naval basic training in 2 months)

i am walking away from the navy next week, leaving a 35k signing bonus and some killer orders to teach tech school, i finally made the decision 2 days before i was due to reenlist for a number of reasons and even though i haven't secured a job yet I am completly comfortable with my choice. it would have helped to win some money but most of the time thats not what these things are about.

I might be asking alot but I need 10 mil.....clear. I wanna be able to take care of myself and help some family and friends out too.
Friends of mine won 8 mil in the Ohio lottery. They get $210,000 a year for 26 years. I guess I could pinch pennies to get by on that if I had to.....lol:p

$400, an aluminum baseball bat, a 20lb sledge, and an hour alone in the booth with the projectors.

I work at a ghetto movie theater. I want to destroy those crap machines each and every day.

I would quit after getting $100,000. that would get me free and clear and still have $30,000 for play money. Then I would go back to working at the auto ranch, and would be happy doing it.

I don't think I would quit my job. It's not that I like it. I need to work for 2 more years and then I can take the Professional Engineers test and get my PE license. After that I can write my own ticket if I want. 7 million would be nice though....

Why don't they give 36 people 1 million instead of 1 person 36 million? Wouldn't that be better?
