I am looking to put a better gear in my 55 early series half ton, it is now
4.10. I know that 55 to 62 should interchange. Can anyone tell me what is
the standard ratio in a v8 stick truck or 6 or v8 automatic from those years?
I would like a 3.70 or higher and replace the entire center section.Thanks for looking and for any help you can
offer.

Most of the trucks had a 3.90 but some of the automatics had I believe 3.55 gears.
