I know everybody that has bags has an opinion on this, but here goes...
Who makes the best bags and why? Firestone, AirLift, or Slam Specialties.

I seem to be using mostly slam specialities and contitech lately. Personally I prefer the slam specialties but I give my customers a choice of all the brands.

do the slam specialties give a firmer ride than the others? I understand they are supposed to be stiffer than the others.

i believe the bags themselves are firmer, but the ride is awesome. i think they are firmer because that allows them to expand up and not out. if you check out the specs, the deflated and inflated specs are the same, they dont balloon out at all, so you can run tighter clearances, which is nice. im running them front and back and i like em. i also believe they have internal bump stops, so that may help depending on your application.

My vote is Slams...alot of people don't like Airlift bags since they changed them...some installers won't even use them. Stones are still old reliable for those that just want to go up and down. I've heard good things about Conti bags also.

How do you know which bag size to use? Alot of numbers,... rs-72's, rs-82's, etc.

Maybe you figured this out too, but I think the first number is the size. So rs-62's are 6" tall, 72's are 7" tall, etc. But I have no idea which ones to use. I am going to order some soon for my Jimmy and need to know what size too.

The RS-72's are comparable to the 2600. I saw a post somewhere that a 71 chevy used four of the RS-72's. I'll try to find it.
