suburban vs. panel

Hey guys this has to be the best place on the net. I have been lookig to buy a 3/4ton panel truck but as you can imagine I cant find one. So I am thinking of converting one of my 72 suburbans. is this possible? What are the main differences other than windows and the third door?

Thanks Wes

I have bid on it but I think it is going to be more than I can afford. All I really need is the body if the frame from my 72 burb is the same. Thanks anyway

Great. I can seem to find any around here. Does anyone know if the frame is the same as a suburban?

I don't think it would be worth the trouble to convert a suburban into a panel. Unless you have mad welding skills. IMO, most likely better off to keep looking for a panel truck.

I've got a '69 GMC 3/4 ton panel, it's in California though. 350
4 sp. It's licensed. and pretty rust free. Cal truck. Needs
complete restoration. Runs out pretty good. Just did 500 mile trip in it. $1400 bucks. Let me know. Later

I think I would prefer a panel...look at the huge canvas you have to be creative on. Too bad I'm not creative huh?
