it had to be a mod. ALL longhorns were wood. too bad though, id love a metal bed.

the odd thing is though Dave...this makes 2 I've seen now.
A spotted a 72 in the junk yard last year, it didn't hit me untill I was on my way home that the floor was metal. I returned the following weekend to get pics, but it had been crushed and shipped out.

I saw one severl yrs ago! It looked like factory.....i still dont know if it was a bodyshop job, or some special order truck? L

I could have sworn that I had one too. I sold it, but I'm thinking the longhorn bed I have now is steel floor too. I'll have to go look now.................
