can you just change to springs without any cutting/welding

How about helper springs?

coil spring shocks?

the fronts should be the same, but i dont know about the rears......
remember a K5 is alot shorter wheelbase so a stiffer spring will make it ride ALOT worse, than a 3/4 truck with 3/4 springs

blazer springs are most likely lots shorter in overall length

I'd ask over on ColoradoK5.com. There are a lot of guys over there with 3/4 ton suspension on their K5's.

They will work if they are 52" eye-to-eye, not if they are 56". I have a set of National 3/4 ton 4" lift springs on the Jimmy. It rides rough, but it IS a 4x4 with 35" tires and a 104" wb, so I don't expect Cadillac style. They have not sagged a lick in the 12+ years they have been on the truck. Pulls my boat with a 400# tongue weight great.

wish question was bit more specific, he could mean something else.. he is asling abotu swpping to 3/4 ton springs, but have to assume he means swapping from blazer leaves to 3/4 ton leaves on a blazer., if they are the same or not. no point in swapping to, he could just add some leaves, and cut length of each leaf he adds to the right length, 1/2 ton leaves would work fine, should be same width anyways, just add some more if he wants ot stiffen it more or lift truck a little bit more, but will need longer U bolts.,
