I am going to the in'laws this weekend, which means a long trip to the Pick'N'Pull

What did Yorks come on? I have heard Jeep, Chrysler, and Volvo.
What years were they most common?
Yorks look pretty distinctive so spotting one shouldn't be too tough. Are there other compressors that look similar? I don't want to pull the wrong one.

Ford used them through '82 I believe...alot of guys go to the parts store and tell them they need a compressor for a 1980 F-150 with a 302. If you know what a york looks like already you shouldn't have a problem. I know there are differences on which side the suction is on (left or right hand suction) Maybe somebody who is a little more knowledgeable can enlighten us...

Go to your parts store and tell them you need a ac compressor for a 79 ford truck.This will be a york 210.You will need to get some of this oil http://www.autobarn.net/ch200-.html and run about 12 oz's and check it after the first week of use.It will use some oil during break in.You will still need to get the clutch but this will work great for you.

ford, volvo, and 18 wheelers use them i got mine from a big rig junky yard it was a 1995 model and it cost me $70 bucks compared to the $250 some get in the zone company wanted i thought it was a bargain. its still working perfectlly i had to change out the oil cuz it's some freon required oil so i added 10oz. 10-30w motor oil and 2 oz. of that lucas additive but thats just me( the lucas part).3 years no problems and no need for a york reinvestment.

p.s add a good intake filter and that will give you years of remarkable opperation.

el curioso I have bought this same compressor from auto zone and o reilys for about $75.00 they work great as long as you run the oil I mentioned.I have tried 10/30,30w,lucas & still no luck as running this oil.

Just check autozone..85 for comp and 60 for clutch

What the heck just re checked the price and they told me $189.99+$70.00 for the clutch. Are the auto zones in my area trying to rip me off or whats the deal with that. Thats for a 1982 f*rd pickup with an 8cyl.
