Shoulder belts for my 72?

The kiddos want to ride in the 72 and I'm thinking shoulder belts would be good (and safe for me also).

Anyone done this mod? Things to watch out for? Suggestions of vendors?

Retractable would be ideal, but I could live with non-retract. Thanks, D.

Do a search. There are several threads about newer fullsize and s-10 retro fits. Factory shoulder belts are pretty hard to find.

Probably the cheapest route would be to find some S-10 belts and put them in. I don't have access to any decent wrecking yards around here, so I went to the aftermarket and bought some belts. Pricey yes, at $99 each (ouch!) but they went in no problem. Got 3-point belts from Julianos. All I had to do was drill a new hole in the floor for the retractor mechanism, reuse the hole in the middle of the floor, and there is a threaded insert that exists in the pillar of the cab.

I've got the S10's in BB . if you have many large friend like i do you will need to get a seat belt extender for the passanger , ( they are free at the Chevy dealer )
Here is a place that has some aftermarket , Truck Stop 714 870-7920 ,they run about 180 a pair .
