WOOHOO!! 73-80 Clear marker lights on Ebay!!
I just found these and bought a birthday present for myself. I saw the thread from AspecialZ but I have not been a member for very long and wasn't sure about sending money orders all the way across the country or to suspicious looking paypal addresses. I'm not implying anything about anyone, there's just a lot of fraud in the world and you have to be careful. Anyhow, WOOHOO!!!

I don't think the cops in my town care. I went through a checkpoint once in an s10 that I used to have that had clear markers with green bulbs in it. The cop told me they weren't legal but said to keep moving through, no ticket. Besides I like cops right now. The other night a cop came to my door at like 1:30 in the morning and said my doors were open on my truck. This is on a very busy street that shady characters like to peruse at all hours, too. There are a few wires showing under the dash where the lower column cover is, and he thought someone had tried to hotwire it. I guess the doors popped open when I hit the button on the remote accidentally when it was in my pocket. That's the only explanation I can think of. Anyway, lets just say my tax dollars finally did something for me.

Ok, If anyone else wants these, go here
http://www.classicpartsdepot.com/ The site is under construction, but you can get the phone number here to call them. Part number is CPD-01 They say SAE DOT on the back but not on the front, but there is also a sticker that says for off road use only on the plastic bag they came in. I don't think it should be a big deal if you put in some orange bulbs ($3 at wally world).

Sorry AspecialZ, It's just that I've been looking for these for so long, when I saw your original posts I really wanted them, but I wasn't a member yet, plus the controversy over advertising on the forum, so I was unsure about replying to the post. I also tried emailing you at the paypal account you listed and never got an answer. I never intended to question your legitimacy or cast a shadow on your name. I was just excited that I finally found my clear markers and wanted to let everyone else know about it so they could get them if they wanted them too.

understanding
I understand. I am the same way, very picky about where my checks go. I was just really excited when these came out, and I am only the second dealer in teh US next to the actual company producing these, plus..like all good chevy parts, made in america

They were available about three years ago but they don't produce these any more just like the clear taillights since there not Dot approved so you'll have buy them used.
