I was told that if you don't weld them you could get a annoying sqeek from the 2 pieces of metal rubbing together??

Shortymac, have you had any problems with the bondo cracking? I was thinking about doing the same thing. Also, where did you put the rivvets and how did you get them "flush" with the rest of the body?

Countersink them. Get a drill bit that is the right size where the rivet doesn't have ANY play and you'll be alright with the bondo not cracking for a little while. I'm not knocking the rivet way of doing this, but if you have any access to a mig, weld them!! Even just pop rivet them in place and see what someone will charge you if you drive up to their shop and mig them on the spot. If you've already got them prepped where they only have to hook up the ground clamp and weld and you'll come back and grind and work filler on them, it probably wouldn't cost too much. JMO...........Jerry
