Removing a welded bumper/want to reuse!
Ok, quick question. Below is a picture of my (dealer installed bumper?) that I would like to remove and get powder coated. One slight problem. Its welded to the frame in about 10+ spots. Is there any way possible I will be able to get this off and reuse it or is that out of the question? I have no welding experience what-so-ever. Thanks again!

I used an angle grinder to remove mine. Still ended up strapping it to a tree and getting whiplash.
I was told the whole back of the truck came off the ground. |

Yep, Andy's right. Get a good angle grinder and give it hell.

Just remember it's only metal. You can always weld it back on.

yup angle grinder with a 1/8" disc to take the welds down to the parent metal. If you don't want whiplash ( )put on a zipcut and carefully grind into the joint(mostly on the bracket so you don't gouge the frame)until you see the crack between the two plates. If you want to save the brackets then you can either fill the grind marks with weld and grind,or radius the edges with the grinder to smooth things out a bit.Let us know how it goes!
