Van tilt question
Which years van tilts will work in a 71 C20 truck?
I have a chance to buy a van tilt out of a 78 van. I know there are some modifications needed, found a lot of really useful info on the FAQ section but couldnĀ“t find anything about the years. Thanks

If it doesn't have the ignition on the column it'll work. If you don't have access to see for yourself, ask the seller if it has one or not

I asked the seller about that and he said there was a kinda tiny little ignition switch attached with rivets on the column.
Is that how van tilts should look? To me it sounds like some PO put that on the column.

Sounds hacked up to me.
The 78 should be fine, 72 - 81 van tilts work, but if there is anything rivited on, I think I'd pass personally. They are common enough that you can get another one without the rivit holes and what ever else is rigged on it. |
