This is not a simple bolt on propostion. You must weld mounting points with the correct spacing to the crossmember. Then you will need someone to machine adapters to adapt the rack end to the truck tie rod ends. The ford racks threaded rods are smaller than the truck tie rod end and both are male. Most racks I have seen will have to have the threaded ends shortened as well. Then its very difficult to get the correct geometry to eliminate bump steer. Bill Turner sold crossmembers with this Mod but there were alot of issues (wouldnt recommend) and still required some fabrication skills. I have one and I was never satisfied. Several other board members have as well. To my knowledge none of us have made everything work but keep in mind we were all trying to accomplish multiple things at the same time ie Tubular control arms, Crossmember drops, and rack and pinion. I have no doubt it can be made to work with enough time and money, but I got tired of throwing both at it and went to a Fatman fabrications IFS. If you are serious and wont to spend the time, I have a crossmember with the rack mounts already in place, Tubular upper and lower arms, rack, etc. that can be bought cheap. Pm me for details.
