One ton brakes on a 1/2 ton
I thought I read that it's possible to get bigger brakes on the front of a 1/2 ton by installing the calipers and pads from a 1 ton. Is it as simple as that? What is larger, the pads, pistons, or both?
My truck currently has the 1 1/4 thick rotors on the front, soon to have the wide 1/2 ton shoes on the rear. Can anyone comment? |

If memory serves correctly, that won't work. 1-tons used different spindles and the mounting points are different, not to mention rotor diameter.

I thought it was 3/4 ton pads that would fit, thinking Tom posted them.
