Sold my '70 CST today, but.....
I sold my '70 CST today, but low and behold an '83 3/4 ton truck made it back home with me. The guy that bought my '70 has been wanting my truck for a while, but he wasn't able to come with all the money. I really didn't want to trade, but he offered me most of the money I wanted, and a great running 83 C-20 with a 350 and TH400 tranny. I just couldn't refuse!! Who'da thunk it, right?? Mrs. 67_C-30 was thrilled as you can imagine. I told her every one gone makes a new spot for sumthin' new! I will probably end up selling because I really don't need it, but it is worth more I have in it, and we know how rare that is!

Not a bad deal. I noticed you changed your signature to sold, but did not add the new guy. The new guy is gonna get a complex.

Looking at your signature...didn't know you could get an '00 Z-71 with 5.3 and 5 speed....(unless you swapped out the auto)

Hook'm and Palf70Step, Thanks! It is only a 4X2, but this has some really stiff springs. Its raide like a 1 ton. I have owned several 3/4 tons over years, but has the biggest spring pack I have seen one. It has 9 leafs. Oddly, though, it has the light duty (non-floating) 14 bolt.
Daubs, I ordered this truck in Nov of '99. I have heard that before. I wanted the 5 speed, a rubber floor mat, black cloth interior and roll up windows, but I could not find one optioned like I wanted. The dealer even did a search, and couldn't find one optioned that way, so I ordered it. That may be only way you could get one? The only options I cared to have was the 5300, 5 speed, towing package, Air, tilt, chrome bumpers, sliding rear window, Z71 package w/ skid plates, shocks, etc. The option I could not get with the "commercial" floor mat was a CD player, so when I took delivery of it, it had a tape player. They would not let me order it that way. I asked could get a 6.0 liter, but they wouldn't let me order it that way either.

I've been comtemplating the same thing for awhile....me and a buddy are toying with the idea of trading trucks. His '86 Chevy SWB K10 for my '72 LWB C10....his truck is in about the same shape as mine, runs and drives good but has a 305. A 4x4 would be nice but i dunno if i would want to part with my '72....
