The 6" lift, 3" body lift has really changed into something else over the last few weeks. Due 100% to increasing the drivability of this thing and making it safer and more reliable, my plans have really changed.

Original plans-
6" front springs (done)
2" rear blocks (incomplete)
3" PA Body and Poly Mounts (done)
Steering arm (incomplete)
dual steering stabilizer (incomplete)

Well, it has changed into something entirely different now, here is all of the parts in the garage I am waiting to install-

Moog M2 Upper/Lower Balljoints
Moog M2 LH/RH Tie Rod Ends
Moog Draglink ends & sleeve
Cardone rebuilt front calipers
Wagner Rotors
BCA wheel bearings & seals
ProComp Front/Rear Stainless brake lines
Autogage Tach
Flamethrower HEI distributor
Rebuilding Carter 600CFM carb
Accel 8.8mm wires
Plugs
Headers and dual exhaust with Bullet Performance Mufflers and SS tips
CST markers
Side Mirrors

I am really going to have to curtail this thing here... This is where I draw the line, or rather where the wife draws the line.

Really hoping to have it out of the garage in a few weeks. Wish me luck!

Here's wishing you "LUCK" and I don't know if this helps or hinders but after having a truck with a 4" suspension and 3" body lift I found that I would like to have had dual shocks at least on the front. Once you get it up there a "MUST HAVE" are big tires, and then axle trusses, and then lockers, ok that's enough for now, but do you see a pattern here? Unless you have an extreme amount of self control (which I've never had) your "HUNGRY BEAST" has just been born. I don't regret a minute of it though. Looking forward to pics - GOOD LUCK, Rob

you made a good call with the new front sups parts , as soon as i dumped the big block in mine and the 40 inch boggers , before it ever hit the road it got all new ball joints , tie rod ends , and drag link ends , it already had new brakes on it , also the rear line was lookin a little iffy so i went ahead with a new rear brake hose and all new steel lines on the back , you made the right choise and be sure to enforce that to your buddys , big trucks look fun , but there is alot more to them than lift and tires as you deffinatley know , that big stuff puts big stress on things and its gotta be right , great to hear you went ahead with the important stuff ive seen to many guys that need to follow in those tracks but dont

anyone got a part number for the extended rear hose i ordered a set from skyjacker front and back ecxtended stainless braided brake lines and the front fit but the rear said dodge right on the box i tried it anyway but it wont fit so skyjacker wont take it back so they send another one at 70 more dollars from my pocket and it is the wrong one also so now i have 150$ in rear brake hoses that wont fit and i have personally decided that skyjacker is worthless so if anyone has the exact part number for one of these rear extended stainless braided brake hoses that they know fits from personal experience please let me know

Boy, I will let you know! Hope the Procomp front/rear kit works for me. I am certain the fronts will work, but like you I am not totally sure the back will work yet.

FYI, anyone out there looking for lifted brake lines, ProComp has a stainless kit (front/back) for $95.00 on fourwheelparts.com. That's the set I got; I will report back if they all work or not.

Keith, here is a part number for a rear hose from Tuff Country.

GM P/U, Blzr, Sub 1/2 & 3/4 t. w/ disc 1971-78 6"- REAR PART #95105

From experience, Tuff Country has been my FAVORITE vendor to work with. They have a retail store, www.suspensionconnection.com, that you can purchase through. If you call their tech support, I think you can get a straight answer.

Man oh man, gotta add u-joints for the front axle shafts to the list now... Originals were dry and toasted. These don't have the locking rings above the u joint in the yoke- they lock on the inside and are a pain since you can't just press on one side and get the other out. Each trunion cap can only go 1 direction so I am going to have fun with that.

Just gotta keep chugging along... Sun will shine on this project soon.
