Talking Look What Arrived Today... ;-)))

So it only took a week, and my manuals are here. Just over a week ago I asked you guys what I should be looking for for manuals for my '86. Well, some of you pointed me to www.helminc.com and this is what I scored....

Manual Set

Manual Inside

Definitely the best $30 US ($56 can) I've spent in a long time. These are definitely worth the money. These, my tools, along with all of you folks, and I'm definitely set to tackle just about any project.

Thanks again to you guys who pointed me to www.helminc.com . I wouldn't have found these without you. And thanks to the folks at Helm Automotive for the excellent product.

I have that same set for my '86, bought from helminc.com by my wife for my birthday a few years ago. I think she paid about $75 though... They are an excellent resource.

When I originally posted a question about the manuals, I was directed to the helminc website, and found manuals for the 86. But it does seem by what guys are saying in this original post that maybe the earlier models are not available. The earliest they could also find was '84.

original post

I would maybe suggest contacting Helm Automotive directly to see if they could help.

Just a thought.

As far as I understand they cant be that different that the 86 model year wouldn't work for your 84 model year. Im sure the differences would be very minor if anything other than the 87 TBI models.

Yeah, they do make those 20.00 haynes manuals look like coloring books compared to the real ones.

Hi guys:

Looks like good stuff you got.

You might also try a guy in Ontario. He has a HUGE selection of GM.

I agree - you get what you pay for. Or in my case, I got MORE than what I paid for...

You have to search under "light duty trucks" not C/K Trucks for models up to 1986.

1984 Chev is sold out:

1984 chev

Try the GMC

Here is 1979:

1979

Here is 1973:

1973 chev

These are more expensive the 1986 manuals but they are worth every penny IMO.

Good luck.

Anyone have a clean copy for 1984 gmc with 6.2L Diesel. I bet we could work something out in return. Really !
