alternate location for antenna 61 Apache HELP!!
Has anyone had good results with an alternate location for the radio antenna? I just put new cowl panels on my 61 half ton Apache and I don't want to drill a hole in them to mount the antenna. I have the stock am radio in my truck, so if you can offer any help or suggestions,I am all ears!!!Thanks,Hobert

I know street rodders use a "invisble" antenna that looks like a wand, that you can mount anywhere you want, and still get awesome reception. I've hered people mount them under the dash, or even under the front seat.

here is one option:
http://www.julianos.com/in-car_antenna.html - as Chevyboy stated there are different ones. Search around - I've read reviews or seen different types mentioned on auto tv shows - some of them are like long wires that you can route all over and keep hidden. you might want to do a search in the audio forum on the chevytalk.com page. good luck, -W |
