Smokin deal, if they fit?

I asked before, but the thread was so stretched out if may have been hard to follow.

Tire and wheel package:
Front: Boyds 17 X 8 (back space 5") with Yokohama AVS-ST 265/60/17
Rear: Boyds 17 X 9 1/2 (back space 5 3/4") with Yokohama AVS-ST 275/60/17

My truck; 69 3/4 GMC LWB. I'm putting 2 1/2 drop spindles on front and 4 inch drop coils on rear. Will add 71 1/2 ton disc saddle and trailing arm 12 bolt rear.

Tires and wheels have 5-8 thousand miles on them. I looked at them today.
If they fit, they're mine for a great price. I need help!!

As long as the bolt pattern is 5x5 they should work just fine. Keep in mind that the stock backspacing is 3 inches (I think), those will sit in a little more.

They came off of a SWB Chevy, 91 I think. I assumed it would be the same 5 bolt pattern.

If a 71 chevy 12 bolt 5 lug is the same width as a 3/4 ton 8 lug I think they should fit.
I have 265/75/16 on the 3/4 ton right now.

They won't fit our trucks if they fit the 90's trucks.

Hey Yellow86, thanks for the site info, but what am I missing?
The way I read it, 67-98 1/2 ton 2X4 trucks all had a 5 X 127 bolt pattern.
We will know for sure tomorrow, I bought the tires and wheels last night.
I'll mount one (or not) on my donor truck Saturday.........

Sure, the 5 lug pattern is the same for all 1/2 ton Chevy 5 lug trucks. I've run wheels off of 90's era trucks on these early truck many, many times.

I've got a picture of my old 72 truck with 17 inch wheels of an early 90's truck here somewhere. The guy was trading the truck in and sold the wheels dirt cheap.

Here's the picture. I've posted it before. The wheels are 17x8 with 5 inch backspacing that we took off an early 90's 1/2 ton.

We did have to change lugnuts though, as the late model truck uses 14mm studs and the early truck uses 1/2 inch studs. Other than the lugnuts there are no changes needed.

dont wanna steal the thread but does anyone know whats the biggest rim you can fint on a 3-4 drop and whats the widest you can go in the back?

Sorry aitch, just like Kevin said about the lug nuts. I was looking at that and got confused. I have a set that fit early 90's impalas and monte carlo's. They will work also just for future reference.

I had a set of Boyds a while back and the front didn't fit as they would not clear the tie rods, the backspacing was pretty close to those. I still have drums up front though maybe disc brakes will work. I wasn't happy as they were NOT cheap wheels and they looked sharp on my truck.

You got me scared now. I hope they fit. I do have disc up front so I guess I'll let you guys know. If you you might see them on the parts board.
