What's a 68 Anniv. Edition C-10 with 49K miles worth?

I found a guy who wants to sell his grandpa's truck. It looks nice, it's a longbed. Manual drums all around. No A/C. He described it:" 68 C-10 Anniversary Edition It has 49K original miles on it, V8, 3 speed. Also everything is original on it except the carb. It is a longbed. Many extra parts. Truck runs perfect and is in great overall condition. The engine is a 307 V8."

Here are a couple pictures. Thanks for any feedback. He claims he doesn't know what it's worth, but asked $8000 (!!!).

HAH! Don't you just love it! Well, I'll see what you experts say. IT might be a nice truck for someone, but I'm partial to a stepside if I'm going to shed money.

Hmmm. no replies here. I'm looking ballpark for an estimate. I was thinking more like 4K since it's not a stepside.

As a general consensus, and my opinion, fleetsides are worth more than a stepside. And, yes, I own a stepside shortbox and love it, but if I was to ever sell it I wish is was a shortbox fleetside. I think sb stepsides are about equal to a lb fleetside. That is a really nice truck. If it's as nice in person as it is in the pics I'd pay 4-5K for it. I don't like the smaller V-8's. It also lacks the "desirable" options like a factory tact and A/C. I'd still buy it. Also, I'm not sure, but I don't think they made "anniversary edition" stepsides.....did they???

"Come on people, no offers?? Need to move this asap."

Sounds like his is open to something less than $7000. If you want it, make an offer. If you really want a stepside, I would wait until you find the one you want.
