some advice
well i still havent even gotten the rearend fixed in my burb yet but i have made a lot of plans for the buildup. however my wife seems to have it in her mind that she is going to have some say in what i do to my truck. she wants me to go with a 4 in lift with 35-36in tires. yeah it woud be better than stock...but my dream is to run a 6in lift with some bushwacker cutouts and the biggest tires i can (probably 38's as wide as i can go) wich to me is a compromize to keep it to a level that i can still get my kids up into and stuff.
so my thoughts are iether submit to keep it from becoming a serious problem, try and talk her into risking a big ol' fight, or just get the 6in lift (because im not sure she would know the difference) and then be like "well what do you know i can fit 38's on there with just a four in lift!" so tell me guys...what would you do???

38s would be tight w/ only 6" of lift. Maybe if you go with some mounted to an 8" wide rim. Go with the 36s and 6" of lift, especially with 1/2 ton axles. I understand the wife thing also. If I can sneak a dually into the back yard you can get an extra 2"s! Now where will I put the C50!

well i want to go with as big and wide as i can. i know that may be something that some, if not most, of you guys here may find dumb, but i dont plan on doing anything crazy offroad anyway. i just figure i want the looks and mild to moderate offroad capability. the reason i was thinking about 38s so heavily is because i read a fitment guide in four wheel magazine that said i could get 38.5"x15 tires with a 6in lift and some fender trimming...are they wrong???
