Need input....FAST!!!!!

I have the opportunity to buy a 350/700r4 combo out of a 91 k2500. Heard it run and checked everything today. I can get the harness and everything tip to tail (serpentines, fan, harness, radiator) has 100k miles exactly. Is this something I want for my 69 C1500 GMC? Plan on using it for street and light towing.....would like decent mileage and still be able to tow light to moderate loads. Asking price is $550

Sounds like a deal to me. Even if you change your mind you should be able to get your money back out of it.

who cares about gas milage 550.00$ thats a deal. If you don't use it you're going to get your money back on resale. But I would think in a 1/2 ton with like 3.73 gears you would see 20-24 mpg.

Since this is a 4x4 and my truck is a 2wd does that mean I need to get a different tail housing? It's at a yard that cycles stuff fast so I actually have to have all my answers by TOMORROW

Since it's a 4x4 I believe it will have a different output shaft too. Best bet may be to sell the 700r4 and buy a 2wd. Chould be able to make about an even swap.
