will a '77 steering column bolt in an '81?

The '77 C20 has a tilt column, and I'd like to put that column in my '81 C10...bolt in swap or is there a difference I need to know about?
Thanks,
SC

It should work, but to be safe, make sure you use the matching intermediate shaft...they changed quite often thruought the years.

worst case, you may have to swap the long plastic plug, but that is easy. The wires go in the same order. Seems like 77 and later is the same, though.
