71 3/4 inches

I asked a long time ago, and nobody could seem to remember. So here it is.
A lwb with a v8 and th350 would need a 71 3/4 inch long one piece driveshaft. Fort Worth Gear and Axle said that the longest they could build safely from steel is 72 inches, and so 71 3/4's would be no problem.
So there you go, now we all know how long the driveshaft needs to be.

Fort Worth Gear and Axle will make a 1 piece drive shaft at the above length for $193.32 after tax.
For another $70 after tax, they will put it in for you too.

This of course means that I am now the proud owner of a lwb with a 1 piece driveshaft.

That's honestly a very good deal, around here you'd pay twice that. They're cheap to have one shortened but expensive as hell to have one built.
