How to replace 4x4 spindle bearing?????

I am having a very difficult time removing the small bearing from the 4x4 spindle. Unless I am missing something, my service manual does not tell me how. A hammer and punch are not working. Any suggestions or should I keep trying the punch? Any help appreciated.....thanks.....John

Put a bend in the tip of a heavy duty screwdriver, then from the threaded side of the spindle insert the screwdriver and drive out the bearing
