Harmonic balancer bolt Q

Are they interchangable between I6 and small blocks? I need one for my 6 and I was hoping I could use the one out of a V8 laying around in my shop.

Which six do you have?

Most inline sixes don't use a bolt at all. The crank isn't even drilled for it. The exception is a 292.
