Valve Cover Selection For A 84 Chevy 305 Motor

Hey guys,

I have an 84 Chevy C/10 Pickup with a 305 Motor. Below is a photo of my current valve covers. They are old and a nasty blue color. I want something better that will start to make things look nicer:

Here is another photo: Keep in mind that I fixed all the hose problems:
Vacuum Hoses and PCV Questions

I wanted to find out if I should choose the small or large size. I was concerned about this. However, after doing a search on the forum I found that it really doesn't matter. From what I am reading, some people need to go with the taller style if they had done some performance work on their engine. Some people still go with the taller ones even if they have not done the work (which requires the taller ones) just for cosmetic reasons.

I want to purchase the tall valve covers for my motor. Prior to doing so, I wanted to make this post and ask everyone's opinion. I want to make sure that the tall ones are a good choice for my motor.

Also I noticed on eBay that there most of these valve covers have two holes on each cover. On my passenger side valve cover the hole closest to the front of the vehicle is where I put oil in. Behind it is the breather to the air cleaner. On the driver side I only have one hole for the PCV valve... What is the extra hole used for? What would I do with it? Add another Add Oil Cap? Am I looking at the wrong type?

Here are some eBay examples:

This one only has one hole on each:

These are an example of the setup I have:
