im just finishing relocating my fuel tank and i am using a eletric fuel pump and i know they say you should put the pump as close too the fuel tank as possible but the closest place i can find with easy access is about 6 feet away does that sound too far away for you guys or what? have any of yall done this mod with eletric fuel pump if so where did yall mount your pump? thanks for any help yall can give me, john

Are you using the electric one as the main pump or an assistance pump? If its the main you should get it close to the tank, you want to prevent pump starvation or youll need a good tow truck number..........where did you mount your filler neck and what hose did you use?

We mounted my sons on the passenger side inner fender of his camaro and he has not had any problems at all. We also put an inline filter between the tank and pump to prevent any junk from the tank getting to the pump.

I just put my original, behind the seat tank back in. With the new engine, I have to go with an electric because of the year of the block. I mounted the fuel pump to the floor under the cab. Just in front of the tank. I know this doesn't help, but that's where mine is. It's as close as I can get it.

In all reality, for an in cab tank, that is OK. Since it will siphon out, the pump is effectivly pushing the fuel instead of pulling it even though it is technicly down stream.

Willow...I would try to find something closer.

i did the behind the marker light thing wasnt as hard as i thought it was going to be had too get filler neck from cap reduced from 2 too 1 1/2 and tank filler neck 1 1/4 too1 1/2 at muffler shop also had too notch cross member on bed which is apain in the rear
