Pictures of new truck!

I just picked this up yesterday, and I wanted to share pictures of it. It is a 69 Longhorn with factory 396/TH400. It has a hair over 83,000 miles and the last owner said it was in his family since almost new. It has a Dana 60 with either 4.10 or 4.56 gears. It has a positraction. It has rust, but not bad. Also, the glass packs and rusted pipes make for a cool nostalgia sound. Enjoy the pictures.

Wow, that's a pretty nice Longhorn. You don't see to many up here in ND. I've only seen one Longhorn in the flesh and that was very briefly on the road. That's a pretty unusal color too. What's the paint code?

Paint Code

Hi, the paint code is 452OAA-Yellow. When did you see the longhorn you were talking about? I got this on saturday in Baldwin and towed it home. I have seen this one and one other in Epping. It had a 402, but the guy wouldn't sell it. Thanks for the comments and interest. Also, I think the air cleaner came like that.

One day while I was working out in Dickinson I saw a white 69-70 longhorn drive by the Wendy's on the North side. It looked to be pretty solid.

There was a Longhorn advertised in one of the ND ag fliers about a year ago. I don't remember what town it was in but they said it had a diesel engine conversion. It sounded like a pretty cool project that someone had started.

If you ever get down this way, look me up 68350. I used to work up in Williston quite a bit but I haven't in the last few years. My inlaws live 6 miles south of Columbus ND so we make it up there a few times a year.

First congratulations on your find. I have a 3/4 69 LWB and wonder where the brake booster is? Your firewall looks much cleaner without it.

Congratulations on the truck...

I have family up in Dickinson and Beulah, and once I get out of the military hope to be up in that area...Good to see there are projects for me up there too. I had my brother go to, what he called, "the biggest junk yard in North Dakota"...don't remember the name of it...something brothers, I want to say...anyways, they looked at my brother half nutz, "like who on God's green earth would want a 2wd blazer...haha"
when he asked for a 69-72 2wd blazer for me...

Longhorns are coming out of the woodwork lately.....funny thing, I don't think that I've ever seen one except for on the internet. We just don't have those in Virginia.

I bought my Longhorn in 1996. I've learned A LOT about them since. I couldn't believe I found an almost perfect bed for one 4 blocks from my house. Someday I'll have to replace the wood, paint it and install it.

Re:

I looked at the tag on the rearend after cleaning it and it lists the gears as 3.54 This sounds pretty high for a dana 60, but I'm not complaining!
