Idiot Light Dash to Full Gauge Dash Question

Today I completed a swap of an idiot light dash to full gauges. Everything works except the instrument lighting.

On the old dash there was a wired bulb and socket that plugged into the dash. On the new dash all of the holes were filled with bulbs and sockets.

In a full gauge dash how is the dimmer connected to the dash?

Thanks!

The "wire and bulb" is probably your fiber optic cable for shift indicator. (did it connect to a white socket?)
Dimmer is controled by light switch.
Check this thread for diagram of connector for gauges.
