White Face Gauge Overlays?
I've seen a few sets on ebay, but they all say they are just a sticker and they have a lime green writing on them. They look like pretty low quality pieces. I've seen some really nice ones out there and was wondering where everyone got them, and how you install them?

Here a few pics of my white faces. All of the kits are overlays (stickers). These I have are off Ebay. Duranged Designs to be specific. The reason the ones on Ebay have green lettering is because you use you stock gauge lens, and the letters are greenish on it. I did something a little different with mine. I took 2000# git sandpaper and block-sanded (wet) off the letters on a stock gauge lens, and then buffed it out with polishing compound. Duranged sends you stickers for the letters and numbers, but you are not supposed to use them. Well I did use them, and I did not paint the metal part on the inside white like you are supposed to. The effect is much better IMO. The only drawback is that the letters are not very bright at night. The lens reflects enough light to see them, but they appear dim around the edges. This is in my car hauler, and I drive in mostly in the day anyway, and it a trade-off that doesn't bother me because it looks so much better in the daytime.

Those do look good! So the guys name on Ebay is Duraged Designs you say? I'll have to look him up. Those sure look a lot better than my faded out old stockers.

Thanks. They look alot better than the pics show. It is pretty dark here today from rainy weather, and I took those early this morning. Here is a link to his auctions: http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZdurangedesign I was able to hand buff the lens. I did not have to use a buffer or anything, but you probably could do it that way.

Thanks for the link! He has nine sets up right now and I think I'm going to buy one and do it the way you did. What did you use for polishing compound?

He also has a web site, http://www.durangedesign.com When I did mine I wet sanded with 2000, then used Maguires plastic cleaner followed by their polish. Took out all the scratches, clear as new glass

Thanks for the help everyone! I will definitely be doing this mod. Did anyone go for the LED bulb setup with the white overlay? If so, what color did you choose and how do you like it?

Hi, I've gotten several sets of these from durange and none of them ever have had the lens #'s with it . Did you ask for them or were they just in there? Thanks Randy

All the kits I have seen are for the trucks that have the 7 gage holes. My 67 only has 3 gage holes with the turnsignals in the middle one, where a factory tach would have been. Does anyone make a kit for these dashes or will a modified "7 gage" kit work??
