Question When to replace cab wiring harness?

I figured I would be replacing the harness in my '71, but after stripping my cab down last night I found that the harness has not been hacked into or messed with in anyway [I bought the truck from the original owner in great shape 12 years ago]. So would it be foolish to reuse the harness? The project is a full frame off, not cutting corners here, so I know the obvious answer ,but the harness is in great shape! What do you guys think?

Go to NAPA and get a hand full of the little gold inserts for the plastic wire connectors. Part numbers 725145 and 725147. Then with the harness on the bench in front of you, replace the brittle wires with brand new wire, using your NAPA ends.

You'll need to make a list of all the color and size wire you need. This will take longer than ordering new but it will be $100s of dollars cheaper.

Plus whan you are done you can say you did it.

Unless you have more money than time. Then buy a new harness.
