ANOTHER carb thread...
Just wondering if anyone out there has experience with the Holley truck avenger, (770cfm) and what your thoughts are on it. Ease of use, how well does it function offroad, does it live up to the claims they make, etc.
Also, I am looking for opinions on the New Edelbrock 800CFM Thunder AVS series. Manual choke on both, and the same questions apply. I kind of like the edelbrock because of the simplicity and the side hung float bowls, but I have been a diehard Holley fan for years....They are finnikey as hell, but the run like a raped ape when they are dialed in. I also realize that holleys tend to accel in the straight line application, which, my truck does see some of, stop light to stop light, but more often, I am off camber, turning, bouncing and going up hill..... Any and all input is aprreciated, and thanks for bearing with me guys!

Well I have one but never really got it dailed in. Never really got the one I have now dailed in either so we are thinking it may be the intake. (rpm airgap). I have heard good things about the truck avenger. You can actually buy all the parts from Holley that will let you do the same thing to a regular Holley carb to get rid of the splash.
