Rochester 2G Leaking
My Rochester 2G, manual choke, is leaking around the throttle butterfly shaft. It stops and dries up when the engine is running due to vacuum in the throat but when the engine is off it begins to leak from both sides and will actually pool some gas on the intake manifold. I guess it is probably just worn out but anyone ever have this problem...there was nothing in the rebuild kit to address this...or did I just miss it. Are there o-ring seals on this shaft?

If you can locate a used one, simply swap the base plate.. assuming the used one is better than yours lol. There was a kit sold for reboring the throttle shafts and inserting a bushing (I still have the kit) but they no longer supply the bushings

I assume you're talking about the base plate main throttles right? You unscrewed the brass screws, pulled out the round throttle plates, and pulled the rod out, and it was loose?
Luckily mine were still tight, but if they were loose (and this is a general rule of thumb for the air horn throttle plate and the accelerator pump arm) I would have taken the piece to Carburetors Unlimited in Kent (east valley highway just south of 43rd St. and 180th on the west side of the street) and have brass bushings pressed in to make them tighter. Chances are if you go out looking for an old replacement you'll find the same thing. I got lucky. Mine was still in good shape. I mention this because you do live in Kent, and Carburetors Unlimited bailed me out when my choke pull-off bracket broke!!! Good luck.
