whats a boneyard 72 K20 4x4 worth??? pics...
Well i ahd posted a little on this b4, but i was at the boneyard today and just happened to have my camera on me, so i snapped some pix of this... Don Lovernik had asked me for these too so here ya go... the body is pretty much shot and there is no title for it....the cab has a CCxxxxxxxx vin so it must be a mutt truck.. the motor is a newer 350, the transfer case is an NP205, and it has power disk brakes... the grille is chevrolet but the glovebox literature is GMC (sticker is gone)... so could be three different trucks together... the transfer case shifts as well as the trans and according to the boneyarrd guys it runs... i would love to build a driver 3/4 ton 4x4 but this may be a little too much work... i do have acces to a nice 70 GMC cab and front clip.. hmmmmmmmm.. well let me know... ill also throw in some pix of a 67 C20 283/2bbl b4 my camera went dead...

Not a 3/4 ton brake booster either, definitely a mutt truck. I'd start with an offer of $200.00 personally.

Well, the green truck has 72 doors, off color steering column, is that a big block? (maybe not) has usable bumper guards and a clean grille.... Are those original blue lock outs on the 4X4?
The blue truck is actually a 68 (marker lights). Last edited by dtlilly; 03-04-2005 at 10:10 PM. |

nope not a big block, a 350 i believe but i couldnt get to see the casting numbers.. the carb is a 170xxxxx so at least 76 or later based on that... the grille is good, butt he surround is dented (unclear on pics) above the pass headlight and the bumper has a few love taps too... im just wondering if its worth it for the drivetrain and the few interior (black door panels are clean, as well as shift indicator) pieces... the body cab and box are typical rusted out minnesota style but hte frame, brakes, trans, and running gear look good... looks like a th400 also... but couldn lay in the mud to get pics....

Ya, I see the dented grille surround (pass side). The engine has HEI so maybe later model. The door panels are GMC style. The blue lock outs got my attention, other than that... walk away. (lock outs may be worth $50+).
<edit> If those are factory 16" 3/4 ton rims (solid style 8 lug and not split rims) I'd be interested in those. Last edited by dtlilly; 03-04-2005 at 10:24 PM. |

Looks like lots of trucks in one, front bumper from a 67-70. Stock front springs? I love a good project, but thats a whole lot of project. Front hubs look a good buy and if the front springs are factory, them also. I'm with breeh, start at $200.00. If he won't sell can you see if will part it, or if you buy the hubs or front springs let me know.

Scott, you need some stock front springs? I have the ones that came off of my 71 3/4 ton, they have 3 leaves.
