Gas Cap On Lime Green Truck in Truckin???

I just bought the new issue of Truckin (Vol. 31 No. 4 2005) and on page 223-225, there is a lime green 67 short steppie with a really nice flush mount aluminum gas cap in the factory location. I have not decided whether or not I am going to do the blazer tank, so if I don't, I want to use this gas cap. I have seen them before and they thread off with a special tool. I have no idea how you mount them to the original tank, or where I saw them for sale. Does anyone know where I can get one and how I can mount it? Thanks!

I bought the same one from a marine shop in town here. I think it was 50 dollars (CDN) I am going to use it in my box floor. You would need to drill 3 holes and possible weld the hole in the cab smaller so you have some meat to drill the holes in. Or.... you couls make a ring to fit inside the cab with the hole's predrilled. I can get the measurement for you if you want. The filler is a 1 1/2" neck you would have to cut the neck off your tank and connect it to the stainless flush mount. It should not be to hard unless you have fresh paint.

Thanks Mario! It looks like a very worthwhile mod. Way nicer than my rotten rubber ring and locking gas cap I have now.
